The Beaches of Mustique

Though Mustique is but a small island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, it has abundant opportunities for all types of recreation. Among the best of these is hanging out on its many beaches, whether you’re in the mood for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, surfing, body boarding, or paddleboarding. We’ve put together a brief guide to the island’s best beaches below. Read on to learn more!

Macaroni Beach

Arguably the most famous beach on Mustique, Macaroni Beach is a northeastern beach that is renowned for its premier surfing and body boarding conditions, created by stronger swells than are seen elsewhere around the island. Macaroni Beach is also ideal for boating, as well as planning picnics with your guests using one of the many thatched-roof huts that are located on this beach and others throughout the island.

Simplicity Beach

Like Macaroni Beach, Simplicity Beach is located on the northeastern side of the island and has access to greater swells, meaning better surfing and body boarding than other parts of the island.

Lagoon Beach

Situated on the southwestern side of the island, Lagoon Beach is one of several beaches in the area that are known for having calmer waters. While this may be disappointing for visitors interested in extreme water sports, its placid waters are ideal for activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, and paddleboarding. While Lagoon Beach may differ from Macaroni Beach in a number of ways, they are both excellent picnicking beaches.

Gelliceaux Beach

Similar to Lagoon Beach, Gelliceaux Beach is a southwestern beach that has calm tides particularly suited for exploring the rich underwater life that Mustique has to offer. Go diving or snorkeling, or simply go for a family-friendly swimming or paddleboarding session.

Endeavour Bay Beach

Endeavour Bay Beach provides some of the most stunning views on the island, particularly from the beach café that looks out over the bay. Located on the southwestern corner of the island, Endeavour Bay Beach—like Gelliceaux Beach and Lagoon Beach—is best for swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and scuba diving due to the tranquil nature of its waters.
